Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
